Flowing through our ancestral lands are rivers, each providing necessary elements for the sustainability of the community - water, food, transportation and leisure. The West Fork of the Red Cedar River is the heart of the Stockbridge-Munsee Indian Reservation...and runs right next to uncle's dwelling. The rivers in our communities are essential.
When wearing the Red Jean, you wear an American classic. We designed the them to be versatile and functional. Feel the durability, notice the intricacies of our tribal designs on the hardware, hunted deerskin patch, and pockets. Rely on the Red jean every day for work, play, and everything in between. Lovely chain-stitched detailing.
Constructed in the USA with Nihon Menpu 14 OZ selvedge denim, custom Ginew® hardware, and hunted deer leather patch. Each Fall we hunt deer in the Great Lakes Region of USA, as our families have done since time immemorial, and include the deer skin patch to honor our traditional clothing. The rivets feature the Ginew® leaf and burrs are decorated with Ginew® crest symbol. The interior pockets are decorated with Oneida skydome and Ojibwe lodges symbols - designs traditional to our tribes.
