SELVEDGE DENIM: ADD CHARACTER WITH CUFFS
What is a selvedge ID? The ID (identification) is a specifically chosen colored thread woven into the finished "self-edge" of the denim jeans. It can indicate the denim fabric's mill and/or brand. The purpose? It is a visual cue for quality denim. It originated as a consistency marker and a custom detail providing aesthetic appeal.
Many people prefer to cuff their selvedge denim as a way to showcase character and contrast. Additionally, several denim creators offer longer than typically lengths in their jean offering to provide this desired style. Hem or not to hem... cuff or no cuff. Freedom to be you and WEAR WITH SPIRIT.
