NATIVE AMERICANA MADE FOR ALL TO WEAR.

Ginew is a small, Native American-owned business with a noteworthy collection: The Ginew + Native American Artist line. This collection showcases Native American Design Excellence... garments and goods that honor Native American culture: past, present, and future.

Team Ginew's approach to the garment industry can be summed up in two words: EMBRACE POSSIBILITY.  This ethos drives daily decisions and leans deeply into transformation:

  • Transform the apparel industry.
  • Transform the people + planet versus profit-driven model.
  • Transform the historical representation of Native culture.

With these tenets at the forefront, we offer the Ginew + Collection. This collection is defined by Native American artisans designing garments and goods - sharing their craft + their deep connections to their culture, nature, elders and community. Revenue sharing exists on each sale with the intent to uplift and transform.

Inclusivity. We create contemporary Native Americana for all to wear, Native + Non-Native. Some of our community asks: how do I know if it's appropriation versus appreciation? Answering that thoughtfully is best in a setting of open-minded and open-hearted conversation. To summarize though: cultural appropriation is often insensitive and uninformed combined with the taking of cultural elements. Cultural appreciation involves respect and an effort to understand which leads to positive sharing, and cross-cultural understanding. Not sure? We invite you to ask.
