Creation Notes

Hefty sterling silver forged thunderbird with Sonoran Gold turquoise*. The backside is stamped with the words NEW LIFE and artist signed. This work of art hangs from thick, smoked bison leather lace and is adjustable with old trade bead slide. The pendant alone measures 2 X 3 inches and the entire piece measures 24 inches total. This thunderbird is a reminder that everyday is a opportunity for rebirth, new beginnings and a world made new. 

*each piece of turquoise varies slightly in appearance

Artist Bio

TL Salisbury is a maker and metalsmith with a deep rooted love for old trade beads, American mined turquoise and her Navajo stamp collection. Salisbury is a proud member of The Osage Nation, a mother and wife. She creates from a place of intention and prayer.

Salisbury works solo from her studio nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Ute land, Utah. Her hope is that each piece inspires spirit and connection to our past, present and future.

Her work can be found year round at the Sundance General Store, Sundance Utah; Big Rain Gallery, Pawhuska Oklahoma; The Momentary Museum of American Art, Bentonville Arkansas; Sacred Cedar Company, La Conner Washington.
