SLOW FASHION MEETS A LEGEND

Legends are created, meaningful and passed down generation after generation.

THE INSPIRATION
This heirloom-quality coat is constructed with the silhouette of Ginew's Wax Canvas Rider Coat and inspired by co-founder Amanda Bruegl's grandfather and early Harley Davidson® motorcycle club jackets. The rider coat pays homage to him, who commuted weekly from the Mohican Indian Reservation to weld for Harley Davidson during the 1950's and 1960's. When you wear it, you are wearing a coat built to honor a life and his characteristics and values: Resilience, Bravery, Honesty, Dedication + Toughness.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The Legends coat is made of durable wax canvas with the Smith Rock wool-cotton blend lining woven by the experts at Pendleton®.  The lining pattern echoes the towering rock faces and dramatic peaks and canyons on the trails amid majestic Smith Rock, in central Oregon. Quilted satin sleeve lining will keep the chill at bay. You'll find custom Ginew hardware that includes our iconic Genesis leaf. This Legend features a modern fit with two front side pockets and two front chest pockets. Each coat is sourced and constructed in the USA.

REIMAGINED DETAILS
Modifications from numerous Wisconsin moto-club jackets of the past era have been incorporated into one coat. We slimmed the sides, lengthened the back, and extended the arms. The wax canvas material has been made
for the US military by the same family for seven generations. Small-batch clothing production meant to last years and years... becoming a legend. We dare you... go ahead and try to wear it out.
