OJIBWE T-BIRD + ALL COTTON
ALL GENDER + MADE IN USA

This t-shrit features the iconic Ginew Ojibwe Thunderbird with copper-on-black design. The Thunderbird is one of Ginew’s legacy products and we are excited to share the newest re-imaging: a small icon on the front left chest + larger T-bird on the back.

THE INSPIRATION

Childhood memories on the reservation...

The iconic Thunderbird design by Ginew was launched in 2016. The form is Ginew's interpretation of an Ojibwe tribal symbol. Ginew's co-founder, Erik Brodt - Ojibwe, shares his memories: "Versions of this symbol are everywhere around the reservation. When I was a kid, the Thunderbird icon was on cars, canoes, sides of barns and homes. It was even carved into logs I'd discover as I walked deep into the woods."

Each Spring the thunderclouds build and bring in new life and expectations. The restlessness of this time is something we are sensitive. In these moments we find ourselves yearning for the road and wide open stretches. The tees are a soft 100% cotton fabric. Easy, relaxed fit. Thunderbird Jacket and Patch are also available.
